Ooooohh how we love Valentine’s Day, – romance and chocolate, what more could a girl want?
And lucky for all you lovers out there, the 14th February 2010 falls on a Sunday this year. Ideal for a romantic short break in romantic Paisley, only 8 miles from Glasgow City Centre and all the fabulous shopping to be had there! Our romantic Valentine’s Dinner is served on Saturday, 13th February 2010, in Hammills Restaurant.
Valentine’s Menu
Scottish smoked salmon, rocket leaves and lemon oil
Sweet melon, peppered strawberries, champagne sorbet
Deep fried mushrooms, stuffed with pate, seasonal leaves, garlic mayonnaise
Goats cheese and beetroot stack, pine nuts and balsamic dressing

Breast of chicken, white wine, cream, tarragon sauce topped with asparagus spears
Grilled sea bass topped with prawns, lobster bisque
Medallions of beef with a haggis and whisky cream sauce
Roast pepper, courgette and red onion tart, garden salad and herb oil
Honey glazed carrots
Green beans wrapped in bacon
Cracked black peppercorn mash

Strawberry shortcake, Drambuie cream
Fruit kebabs, heather honey, raspberry coulis
Selection of continental cheese and biscuits with homemade chutney

Arrive on Saturday, and indulge in some dipped strawberries and sparkling wine, then do whatever your heart desires, – catch a romantic comedy in nearby Showcase cinema, or go for a stroll hand in hand along the river or through Paisley town centre or simply rest and enjoy each other’s company over tea or coffee in Miller’s Bar.
In the evening savour a delicious 4-course Valentine’s Dinner in Hammills Restaurant (see above for menu).
On Sunday morning have Bucks Fizz Brunch to thoroughly ease into romance of the day.
