The autumn foliage here is at its best in October and as the Watermill Hotel is near Glasgow Airport, this is an ideal place to start your tour round the leafy hotspots of Scotland.
Attractions within easy reach include the RSPB Lochwinnoch nature reserve which hosts an annual Amazing Autumn weekend, Finlaystone Country Park with its woodland trails and Gleniffer Braes country park in Paisley, where rangers lead autumn walks to identify the most colourful trees.

“We love the Watermill, staff are friendly, close to everything, good food, reasonable prices. What’s not to like? Have stayed at this hotel every time I visit Scotland.”
Fantastic. We never take out guests for granted, particularly our regular visitors and it is always good to hear positive comments.

It is always good to get feedback, particularly when it is as positive as the review we received from TripAdvisor member Lealea.
It seems Lealea stayed with us recently and has – totally unbeknown to us – reported on her stay at the Watermill on the TripAdvisor review site.
Modesty prevents us from telling you what she says.
Well ok then:
This hotel was the first hotel I have stayed in in scotland…..and was an absoute delight!!!……the evening atmosphere was terrific and I had the best fun staying here!!…the staff were terrific and the breakfasts were a complete buffet of choice….. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy the craic at the bar whilst being able to eat one of the delicious meals served. unfortunetly our stay only lasted three days and I will definetly be coming back!!!….the best three days fun I have had in a very long time!!!
